MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES

Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept minutes by Joe Greco, seconded by Rich Munson.
Financial Report
Financial report was submitted by John Springer. No change from last months report.
Receipts:
Receipts through May 10th 2025 were $1,400.00, which are dues from fourteen members.
Disbursements:
Disbursements through May 10th 2025 were $1,137.59 and are summarized as follows.
$303.70 Social – Membership Meeting.
$600.00 Slip and Locker Rental.
$225.89 Equipment – Pump Rental and Tractor Tire Tubes. No charge for the first two pumps that didn’t work.
$8.00 Copies.
Surplus/Deficit:
L.P.Y.C. has a cash surplus through May 10th 2025 of $262.41.
General Comments:
The cash balance at May 10th 2025 is $16,513.88 which includes $9,144.61 from the capital fund.
Treasury’s report was accepted by acclimation.
Officer and Directors Reports
Steve Lowe suggested having a swap meet as a chance for members to sell or trade boating items they no longer needed. As the more participants the better, it was suggested having a joint event with the Tyler Yacht Club. John Springer will bring it up with T.Y.C. at their next meeting.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
Steve Lowe – Inner larger slip should one become available.
Barge Repairs :
Joe Greco will inspect the barge after the meeting to determine what materials are needed. Any other repairs needed like painting will be put in pending status till the fall.
New Business
Treasurer Duties:
Steve Lowe will handle treasurer duties in the absence of John Springer.
Upcoming Events:
The May 17th Spring Fling Regatta and Dock Party. Peter and Luba Pitonak will handle the dock party event and will email out a notice on it.
The May 31st Saturday Series Race.
The June 14th Directors Meeting and conflict with the Saturday race scheduled for that day will be resolved at a later date.
