MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: John Springer, Steve Lowe, Rich Munson, and Lynn Easley.

The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.

Financial Report
The financial report was presented by John Springer.
Receipts:
Receipts for 2018 through November 14th were $2,576.00, which consists of current dues from twenty-two members and $81.00 for sales of club merchandise, and $270.00 of regatta receipts.
Disbursements:
Disbursements for 2018 through November 14th were $2,400.68 for operations and $113.14 for capital items, resulting in total disbursements of $2,513.82. Disbursements for operations are as follows.
1. $736.66 Socials (Annual Membership Meeting, Cheeseburger dock Party, and Octoberfest).
2. $698.90 Regatta.
3. $417.04 Storage Locker.
4. $326.21 Bur-gees (6) and hats (6).
5. $100.00 Slip Rental.
6. $60.00 P.O. Box Rent.
7. $33.00 Trailer Storage.
8. $24.97 Supplies.
Surplus:
For operations, receipts exceeded disbursements resulting in an operating surplus of $175.32.
General Comments:
The cash balance as of November 14th 2018 is $14.974.62. The cash balance one year ago was $15,489.44. We have twenty-two dues paying members in 2018.
Motion to accept Treasury report by Rich Munson, seconded by Steve Lowe.
Officer and Director Reports.
John Springer – Spent more than planned on Regatta, mainly on T-shirts. Might need to look at ordering fewer next year. Still have quite a few left over. Giving some out as door prizes at events.
Rich Munson – Third Friday Social on November 16th at the Athena Greek Restaurant. The Christmas Party is scheduled for December 15th at Eagles Bluff, and the Annual Membership meeting will be held at Emerald Bay on January 19th, 2019.
Good turnout for the Light Air Sail Seminar presented by Aris Tsamis of Mariner Sails in Dallas. Several members of the Tyler Yacht Club also attended the event.
Lynn Easley – Will send out nomination email to see if there are any nominations from the members for the three director positions that are up for election in January.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
No changes to the slip waiting list. One boat in a slip is for sale, one prospective buyer might move it to another location.
New Business
Directors and Officers for 2019:
Will discuss at the next meeting when more directors can make the meeting. Three positions are up for election. The positions currently held by Steve Lowe, Rick Walker, and Rich Munson.
Consideration of Christmas Contribution of a Charitable Cause.
Steve Lowe suggested donating to the Tyler Food Bank. Members could volunteer to bring canned food to the Christmas Dinner to donate to the food bank. Rich Munson will see about getting a box from the Tyler Food Bank located on the southwest loop in Tyler.
Upcoming Social Events:
The Third Friday for November will be held at the Athena Greek Restaurant on November 16th. It will be the last Third Friday Social until next year with the upcoming Christmas party and Annual Meeting.
The Christmas Party is scheduled for Dec 16th at Eagles Bluff.
The Annual meeting is scheduled for January 19th at Emerald Bay.
Also discussed having the Turkey race in the first part of December. Possible course would be from Saline Bay down towards Emerald Bay cove.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 12th, at noon, at F.D.’s Grill in Tyler.
