MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: John Springer, Rich Munson, Ron McKay, and Lynn Easley.
Call to order by John Springer.
Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept by Rich Munson, seconded by Ron McKay.
Financial Report
The financial report was presented by John Springer.
Receipts:
Receipts through March 13, 2019 were $1,600.00, which consists of current dues from sixteen members.
Disbursements:
Disbursements through March 13, 2019 were $845.70 for operations are as follows.
1. $385.00 Storage Locker Rent.
2. $244.08 Social – January Membership Meeting.
3. $125.02 Slip Rental.
4. $70.00 Post Office Box Rental.
5. $21.60 Trophies – Engraving “Spring Cup”.
Surplus:
For operations, receipts exceeded disbursements resulting in an operation surplus of $754.30.
General Comments:
The cash balance as of March 13, 2019 is $15,234.60. The cash balance one year ago was $15,585.65. We have sixteen dues paying members thus far in 2019.
Motion to accept Treasury report by Lynn Easley, seconded by Rich Munson.
Officer and Director Reports.
John Springer – Showed the “Spring Cup” trophy with it’s new engraving and extra blanks for the future winners of the series.
Rich Munson – Reiterated the need to respond to social events emails so he can get an accurate count of people. So far nine members have indicated they plan to attend the upcoming Third Friday Event.
Ron McKay – Inquired if there were any slip expansion plans. The club has had various plans in the past, but nothing is currently in the works. He did get his “Tiki Hut” pontoon barge moved. Also noted his other club occasionally uses the Shady Brook building for their events.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
Peter Pitonak would be next on the LPYC list for a slip. Lynn Easley noted that one of the slips was empty. John Springer will check with with the marina to see if it has been vacated.
New Business
Upcoming Social Events:
The Wednesday Night Race for March 13th was canceled due to forecast bad weather.
The next Third Friday social will be held at Ricks’s on Friday March 15th.
The next Wednesday evening race is scheduled for March 20th with hopefully better weather.
The first annual Spring Cup Race is scheduled March 30th.
Date and Time of Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 10th 2019, at noon, at F.D.’s Grill in Tyler. John Springer said he will be unable to attend that meeting.
