Old Business

Slip Waiting List:

Jeremy Bogan.

Mike Jeter.

Mast Hoist at Marina :

Ben Hooks has conversations with a boat lift company, they suggested drilling holes in the mast lift, and fitting them with grease fittings. Packing the mast hoist base with grease may be enough to break it free. It also would show how high the inner support post goes. He will also discuss the issue with the marina owner to see how they might want to proceed. Would also be helpful to talk to who ever built it for any insight on how to free it up.

New Business

Increase Participation at Club Events:

Several ideals were brought up, dock parties always seem to have a good turnout weather permitting, hot dogs with the commodore would probably have a good turnout.

Work projects always help to engage other members whether it be on the barge or other projects.

Better contact with the members would be good, whether it is just an email when some member will be going out for a sail, or a more formal communication like a mailing list or a newsletter. When Rick Walker was Commodore before, he would write up a newsletter and send out, although never got any feed back on it.

Presentation events featuring a speaker usually have a good turnout, the club has contacted several about that possibility.

Some type of open house or introductory afternoon sail to for the sailing curious would be a good event to have. Some questions were raised on how best to publicize it to reach people who might be interested in sailing.

Steve Lowe suggested an event where members could sell their excess things that they no longer need.

Officers and Directors for 2020:

After some discussion, Rick Walker accepted a nomination for Commodore. Chuck Brazell accepted the nomination for his current position as Vice Commodore, John Springer will also accept returning as Treasury, as will Lynn Easley as Secretary.

Annual Meeting Agenda:

Some things to include at the Annual meeting will be Paul Lohrs presentation. Recognize members for their contributions. Dana Adams will donate a painting at the meeting.
