Old Business

Mike Jeter.

Mast Hoist at Marina :

No update to the mast hoist.

New Business

When Will Racing Startup:

Lynn Easley will contact Jim Stevenson on plans for the Saturday Race Series. The Wednesday evening sails are pretty informal and resume when ever members feel like joining in.

When to Resume Social Activities:

It would be difficult to have much of a social event at a restaurant and still maintain a six foot separation. A dock party might be more manageable with members keeping separate on their boats or on the barge. A blanket email will be sent out to gauge interest in this ideal. One of the medical professionals might be able to provide insight on the feasibility of social gatherings. It was also suggested a possible Zoom meeting with the members for a state of the club meeting during this time.

Ideals to Keep Club Active During this Time:

It was suggested to maybe promote different web seminars either as a group or on an individual attendance. It might be possible to get some of the previous mentioned speakers to have an online presentation through Zoom.

Barge Maintenance:

The barge could use another coat of wood preservation. Rick Walker has several extra gallons he would like to use up. Several members volunteered to help with the coating.

Ways to Keep in Touch and Promote the Club and Sailing During this Time:

Some of the suggestions were Zoom meetings with the members, club sponsored or individual training as many sailing sites offer training videos. One club event could be a sailboat flotilla down and back up the lake. A write up about the club activities in some of the local communities local newsletters could be done for a small fee. Rick Walker will check on the costs of that.

Date and Time of Next Meeting:

The next meeting is scheduled for June 10th . The how will be determined later.
