MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at virtual meeting: Rick Walker, Steve Lowe, Ben Hooks, John Springer, and Lynn Easley.

The minutes were previously emailed by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept by Ben Hooks, seconded by Steve Lowe.
Financial Report
Receipts:
Receipts for 2020 through November 11th were $2,350.00, which are current year dues from twenty-three members.
Disbursements:
Disbursements for 2020 through November 11th were $1,217.42 for operations as follows:
$568.31 Socials –Annual Meeting.
$385.00 Storage Locker Rent.
$100.00 Slip Rental.
$80.00 Post Office Box Rent.
$84.11 Trophies/Awards.
Surplus:
For operations, receipts exceeded disbursements resulting in an operating surplus of $1,132.58. No capital funds were expended.
General Comments:
The cash balance as of November 11th, 2020 is $16,229.61. The cash balance one year ago was $15,912.46
Motion to accept Treasury report by Ben Hooks, seconded by Steve Lowe.
Officer and Director Reports.
Rick Walker – Haven’t contacted Ross Hayes yet, but feel like he would be willing to do a presentation at the annual meeting.
Steve Lowe – Looks to be a good turnout for the Annual Turkey Fun Race. In addition he knows of two ladies interested in learning to sail and should be invited to attend the event and possibly crew on the boats.
Old Business

Hoist Update:
Ben Hooks received a bid from the company that built his boat lift. Details as follows.
Remove old crane: $1750
New Crane $3000
Barge Fee $300
Labor to Install $1750
Total $6800
With additional fees of $1500 if barge with backhoe is needed.
Ben Hooks suggested further discussion at the December meeting.
Rick Walker will check with the welder repairing his boat lift to see if he would take a look at it and offer his suggestions.
New Business
Board Recommended Directors and Officers for 2021:
Chuck Brazell and Lynn Easley director positions are up for election in 2021. Chuck Brazell couldn’t make the meeting, but will be contacted to see if he is interested running again. Lynn Easley has agreed to running again. There are also two non-voting positions that would be good for any of the new members wishing to participate in the direction of the club.
Upcoming Events:
The Steve Herber Memorial Turkey Fun Race is scheduled for November 14th . Looks to be a good turnout for this. Burgers and hot dogs will be served after the race. Several members also plan to spend the night on the boats.
John Springer is also planning to celebrate the 50th birthday of his Morgan 28 at the event.
Annual Meeting is scheduled for the third Saturday of January. January 16th 2021.

The next meeting is scheduled for December 9th at noon via a Zoom meeting.
