Financial Report

No change on the financial report, and no expenditures or receipts from the previous month.

Officer and Director Reports.

Rick Walker – The crew working on his dock is interested in looking at the mast crane when they get back on the lake.

Rick will send out an email for the Annual Meeting with a tentative schedule of events. The email will also remind members of the two 1 year terms for advisory positions. He also checked with Chuck Brazell to see if he would be interested in running for the Commodore position. Not currently interested but plans to remain active and help the club.

Rick has also upgraded to the paid version of Zoom, so no more cutting off after 40+ minutes.

John Springer – Holding off on sending invoices till we at least have a tentative schedule of events. John Springer also submitted a budget plan for 2021.

Suggested a date for the the Spring Fling Race and Social for late March. The date of March 27th was chosen.

John Springer will also take pictures of the mast crane and show it to a welding shop to get their opinion on it.

Steve Lowe – Steve Lowe contacted U.S. Sailing to see what kind of benefits they could offer the club. So far it seems its more towards individual benefits, but will research it more. Steve is looking for things that would benefit the club provide more value to the members.

At one time the club was a member of reciprocal benefits with other yacht clubs, but their fees have increased greatly. John Spring noted that Tyler Yacht Club had dropped it due to the costs.

Rich Munson – Rich Munson raised concerns of the current location of the mast crane. It’s current location makes it difficult to tie up a boat to the dock due to the way the dock is projecting out. An alternative location at the boat ramp was ruled out due to the lack water depth for sailboats.
