                         MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES

 

Present at meeting: Rick Walker, John Springer, Ben Hooks, Ashley Tackett, Nat Hart, and Lynn Easley.

Financial Report

 

Receipts:

 

Receipts for 2021 were $2150.00, which are dues from twenty one members and the sale of two bur-gee. Note: $200.00 of this amount consists of dues for the year 2022.

 

Disbursements:

 

Disbursements for 2021 were $2,038.97 for operations and $500.98 for capital as follows:

 

Operations:

 

 

$1,496.06 Social-Cheeseburger in Paradise and Hot Dogs dock party and Oktoberfest and Christmas Party.

For operations, we have a cash surplus of $111.03.

General Comments:

 

The cash balance as of December 31, 2021 is $15,724.09. The cash balance at December 31,2020 was $16,114.04.

 

Treasures report accepted by acclimation.

 

 

Old Business

 

Slip Waiting List:

 

David Kinsey.

Some discussion on if his boat would fit in the slip as its not one of the wider slips. Also some issues with securing the boat with at least one piling missing.

Annual Meeting Updates and Agenda:

 

The annual meeting will bee held on January 15th at the Emerald Bay Country Club President’s Room. The event starts at 5:30 pm with the Social Hour, followed by Dinner at 6:30. The menu will consist of fajitas including beef, chicken, and shrimp.

The club set the dues for 2022 at $100 per membership for both new and returning members. Members will have the option of buying a bur-gee or cap.

Some of the activities suggested to the club for 2022 are…

 

Several cookouts on the dock, with possible sleep overs on the boats.

Ashley Tackett suggested a treasure hunt based on clues.

A third Friday event or other event with Tyler Yacht Club. John Springer will suggest it to TYC.

Sailboat races on Wednesday evening and or on Saturdays as Jim Stevenson has indicated that he will not be scheduling the Saturday series.

The Spring Fling and the Octoberfest Regattas

The Annual Steve Herber Turkey Race.

Christmas Party.

Ben Hooks is continuing to work on North Sails for a presentation, and Ashley Tackett suggested an astronomer that may be able to do a presentation.

The next monthly meeting is scheduled for February 12th at Smoke Monkey Restaurant (Previously Purple Pig) at 11:00 AM.
