Calendar of Events for 2023:

Discussed locations and dates for the series races and Spring and Fall Regatta races. The directors decided to go with the annul meeting suggestion of having the two main races on the main lake, and with the Saturday series races starting near the Lake Palestine Marina docks. Ben Hooks also suggested keeping the spring and fall series as separate events.

A Wednesday evening sail event was scheduled to gauge interest on having an evening weekday race/sail.

The April Fool’s Day flotilla could possibly be combined with a treasure hunt event.

Steve Lowe suggested some members might be interested in chartering a sailboat on Lake Michigan when John Springer is spending some time during the summer, and possibly have him showing the group some of his favorite locations.

The directors also went with the different host to host the third Friday socials. Discussions followed on what Third Fridays some of the directors could hold. Ben Hooks said he could host a movie night event at his house. Peter Pitonak offered to host an event his. Still have several summer third Friday events that need hosts.
