MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Rick Walker, Dicksie Walker, Dana Adams, John Springer, Warren Lyon, John Owens, Bob Pryor.
Call to Order by Rick Walker.
Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented and approved. Motion to accept by John Springer, seconded by Bob Pryor.
Financial Report:
Receipts for the year through July 4th , 2014 were $2,650.00, which included $50.00 from 2013 dues.
Disbursements for the year through July 4 2014 were $984.56 for socials and $34.00 for the rental of the post office box.
The cash balance of $20,902.78 and includes $14,087.50 in a capital reserve.
We have fourteen dues paying members in 2014. One member is planning to catch up on their dues which will make 15 current members.
Motion to accept treasury report by Bob Pryor, seconded John Owens, all in favor.
Old Business
Agenda for July 4th:
Dana has sent out a schedule for the social. It was decided on who was going to read each section of the Declaration of Independence.
Upcoming Social Events:
Dana has sent out a schedule through the end of the year. We will hopefully be able to add one or two raft ups in the fall, weather permitting.
Lack of Progress on Marina Facilities:
Nothing new to report.
New Business
Progress on the Morgan OI28:
Very close to splashing the Morgan OI28.
Boat News:
There is a nice Hunter 24 for sale in the cove where Warren lives.
Web Inquires:
This was discussed with no good answers as to what to do since we currently do not have a facility.
Buoys at Lake Palestine Marina, Moving and Replacing Them:
There was much discussion about this but no solid idea of how to make people slow down.
